上海人家

随着中国经济这些年来不断地持续快速发展，作为龙头城市的上海，吸引了无数海内外各阶层人士前来定居生活。上海历来是一座移民城市。因此，上海人家丰富多彩。
家，是人们身心的避风港。各个时代，各种社会，以及主人的经济状况、身份地位、文化情趣、审美爱好，无不在家中得以体现。
《上海人家》专题是我从2004年1月份开始拍摄的，至2005年2月拍摄了五百多户人家。其中有世界各国和全国各地人在上海的家、以及上海本地人的家；有亿万富翁和中产阶级，以及贫困的穷人家。
我很留恋小时候在弄堂里到各家各户串门的快乐，以及邻里之间和睦相处的亲情、友情。小时候的这种快乐在当今已成为奢望。
今天，我用照相机为您“推开”平日里紧闭，还外加防盗门的各户家门，去领略和感受生活在上海的各家各户的生活环境、生活方式，以及主人的生存状态。让人们更加全面地、深入地了解上海这座繁华的东方大都市。
With the sustained and rapid development of Chinese economy in the recent years, Shanghai as its engine has attracted millions of domestic and overseas citizens of different classes to settle down here. Indeed it has always been an immigrant city with rich and colorful living.
Family is the port of heart and soul. Different times and societies, as well as the economic condition, social status, cultural inclination and aesthetic taste of hosts are fully reflected in their living conditions.
Shanghai Living project was carried out from Jan 2004 to Feb 2005. During that period I have photographed more than 500 households, including immigrant families, Shanghai local residents; among which there are millionaires, middle classes as well as poor families.
I am still attached to the happiness of dropping around in Nongtang, and the passion and fellowship of harmonious relationship in the neighborhood. However, such happiness has become a fantasy today.
Now with my camera I try to knock out the door with security facility. Together we seek and experience the living environment and style of Shanghai Living, as well as the living conditions of each host for a better understanding of Shanghai, a prosperous oriental metropolitan.

“早就说这房子要拆，但至今也没有确切的消息。我现在也无所谓了，反正拆了我也买不起市中心的房子。郊外的房子我又觉得不方便，牌友太远。我们现在与大儿子一家挤在市中心的这套老石库门房子里，房间虽小，但已习惯了，出门方便。小儿子结婚住在女方家里，房子的事也是我们两人的心病。 ”

"We've heard about news about government's pulling down the house, but nothing has happened yet. Now I don't care much, anyhow we can't afford an apartment downtown. However, apartments in the suburbs are too far way and it's inconvenient for me to find any mah-jong playmates. Now we live with our elder son in this Shikumen house, it's small but the traffic is very convenient. Our younger son lives with his wife's family. Our greatest pain is about the housing."

“我们俩以前都在外资公司里工作。工作时间长，压力大，收入与付出不成正比，所以辞职自己开公司当老板。目前还处于创业阶段，两套房子每月要还贷，经济上压力大。所以我们只能拼命地工作。每星期工作七天，每天没有上、下班的概念，除了吃饭和睡觉，其它时间都在忙于工作。创业很辛苦，目前请不起员工。但愿生意好。 ”

"Both of us used to work in foreign corporations and were overwhelmed by the work there. Therefore, we quit our jobs and started our own business. We've just started and therefore have financial pressure. We have to work hard to pay back the loan for our two apartments. We work seven days a week and can't afford employees now. Therefore, we have to do everything personally. Our hope is that we can have a good business. "

“我每天的工作很忙，忙得很开心，因为我喜欢我的工作，兴趣爱好和工作相结合。有空时看看书，做做头发。希望自己每天不要太忙，能有时间读书进修，有时间写写散文，把自己的经历写成书。做生意每天要与各种各样的人打交道，揣摩别人的心思，解决人际关系的问题，我感到痛苦。 ”

"I've got a lot of work every day, but I enjoy my work very much. I like reading at my leisure time and sometimes I go to the hairdresser's. I hope I can have more leisure time and then I can go back to school again. I want more time to write essays and books. Now I have to deal with different people every day and I suffer from figuring out what they want. "

“我一个人在家里没事干，就去舞厅跳舞，权当健身。中午在家睡个午觉。老公在大超市里工作，家里装修房子舍不得花钱买墙纸，就想到用单位里的广告促销单当墙纸贴，有特色吧（一串爽朗的笑声）？！家里三个人，儿子在读中专，就靠老公一人挣钱，经济上很紧。希望儿子将来有出息，挣大钱。 ”

"I didn't have anything to do when I was laid off and then I took up dancing as setting-up exercise. I take a nap every day. My husband works at a supermarket and our son is a student of a technical secondary school. We live on my husband's salary and are financially depressed. We didn't want to spend money on wall paper and therefore we decorated the wall with the posters, isn't it special? We hope our boy have a bright future and earn a lot of money. "
